Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 September 2026

Track My Vinyl is designed to collect only the information needed to provide its record-scanning and collection features.

Information processed by the app

When you scan a record label, the selected image and text detected from that image may be sent securely to the Track My Vinyl backend and to an AI service for the purpose of identifying text printed on the record label.

Your saved collection data may include details such as artist, title, label, catalogue number, year, condition, purchase information, notes, storage location and a record-label image. The current app stores collection and wishlist information on your device.

Third-party services

Track My Vinyl may use third-party services to provide specific features. These can include:

Those services may process technical information in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Sale of personal information

Track My Vinyl does not sell your personal information to advertisers.

Accounts and advertising

The current version of Track My Vinyl does not require you to create a Track My Vinyl account and does not use in-app advertising.

Retention

Data saved in your collection or wishlist remains on your device until you remove it or delete the app, subject to normal iPhone backup behaviour. Images sent for label analysis are processed for the purpose of returning the scan result; server and service providers may retain limited operational logs according to their own service policies.

Children

Track My Vinyl is a general-audience record-collecting utility and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app or its services change. The latest version will be published on this page.
